Viewing service configurations for Service management

Service management à Reports à Configurations à Search 

Introduction

This page displays the information of the service configuration. On this page, you can also add service configuration items for the service configuration, and view the service activities and reports of the service configuration.

Roles and rights

To view service configurations, function right 850 – View service configurations is required. Users with the Service desk, Service engineer, Service planner, or Service manager role have this function right.

Notes:

  • For more details on function rights, go to System à Setup à Security à Function rights.
  • For more details on roles, go to System à Setup à Security à Roles.

The information in this document is based on product update 250.

How do I view service configurations?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the required service configuration that you want to view under the Configuration column.

How do I edit service configurations?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the required service configuration under the Configuration column.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Make the necessary change(s).
  6. Click Save. For more information, see Creating and maintaining service configurations for Service management.

How do I add service configuration items to the service configuration?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the required service configuration under the Configuration column.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Define the fields.
  6. Click Save. For more information, see Creating and maintaining service configuration items for Service management.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.

How do I view the service configuration items for the service configuration?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configuration page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the required service configuration under the Configuration column.
  4. Select the required service configuration item under the Item code column in the Service configuration items section. For more information, see Creating and maintaining service configuration items for Service management.

How do I view the service activities for the service configuration?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the required service configuration under the Configuration column.
  4. Click Workflow under the Monitor section. For more information, see Overview of service activities for Service management.

How do I view the reports for the service configuration?

  1. On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
  2. Click Show.
  3. Select the required service configuration under the Configuration column.
  4. Click Reports under the Monitor section. For more information, see Overview of reports – Reporting Services Integration.

You can customize the fields and columns that you want to be displayed on the page by clicking Customize.
